How To Access Online Databases Off-Campus

Off-campus access is only available to ASU-Beebe students, faculty, and staff. To access the online databases off-campus, just enter the same credentials that you would use to login to your ASU-Beebe email. From there, it should take you to the online database that you chose. If you are having problems with accessing the databases, contact the library at circ@asub.edu or rsruss@asub.edu.

The following links will take you to indexes for articles as well as background information in literature and related resources. You might want to start out with an online reference source first and then go into more detail with the online journals articles.

Gale Virtual Reference Library
Gale Virtual Reference Library is a database of encyclopedias and specialized reference sources for multidisciplinary research. Some of the helpful titles include the "For Students" series, British Writers, and Reference Guide to Short Fiction, among others.
JSTOR Arts & Sciences I - V Archive Collection
JSTOR offers a high-quality, interdisciplinary archive to support scholarship and teaching. It includes archives of leading academic journals across the humanities, social sciences, and sciences, as well as select monographs and other materials valuable for academic work. These collections contain over 500 journal tiles dating back to its inception through the last three to five years. Links to more current issues of a journal title are provided where available.
Literature Criticism Online
Contains the full text of the following criticism anthologies: Short Story Criticism, Poetry Criticism, and Classical and Medieval Literature Criticism.

One Literature
One Literature includes everything in LION plus 150,000+ additional primary sources, 20,000 eBooks, and expanded resources on modern and diverse authors. This is a great resource for upper primary grades and college students doing any sort of literary criticism or report on an author or literary movement (this database is an upgrade of Literature Online and is part of the Traveler project).

Oxford English Dictionary Online

This database serves as the central resource for researchers at all levels. Covering more than 160 subjects areas, ProQuest Central is the largest aggregated database of periodical content. This award-winning online reference resource features a highly-respected, diversified mix of content including scholarly journals, trade publications, magazines, books, newspapers, reports and videos (this database is part of the Traveler project).

Contains the full text of the 2012 Magill Literary Annual and selected Critical Insights books.
