About the Book

Atomic Habits by James Clear

Review by Augustus Harris

“Be the designer of your world and not merely the consumer of it.” This quote from Atomic Habits by James Clear perfectly captures the book’s message: you have the power to shape your life through intentional habits. The book teaches how to build good habits, break bad ones, and become the person you want to be—step by step.

One of the most inspiring parts is James Clear’s personal story. After suffering a major injury in high school baseball, he used the very process he outlines in the book to recover and eventually play in college. That resilience and commitment really stuck with me.

Atomic Habits is special to me because it helped me through a really difficult time mentally. I don’t usually enjoy reading, but I’ve read this book three times. The first time was to improve my own life. The second was to help others improve theirs, and the third was to see how I could apply its principles to improve SGA.
