About the Book

Willie Walker’s Summary of Hunter's Moon by Dana Stabenow

In Hunter's Moon, by Dana Stabenow, the characters Kate Shugak and Jack Morgan are hired by George Perry, a "Big-game outfitter".  Kate and Jack are tasked with taking a party of German computer executives hunting in deep Alaska.  Almost everything is available to hunt, but what Kate didn't realize is that humans were also on that list.  Kate, after a successful hunt, returns to camp only to discover one of the hunter's dead, later finding another in even more gruesome conditions.  Kate Shugak, with plenty of detective work under her belt, a vast skill set, a keen sense of survival, and her closest friends, is tasked with solving this mystery and stopping the killer by any means necessary.  Kate, even with her friends by her side, can't trust anyone except herself until she finds more clues and proves suspects innocent.  As more bodies appear, she finds it harder to discover the killer.  The truth only gets farther, and the lies become more misguiding. Hunter's Moon is a murder mystery book where profession meets confusion and answers are only clouded by judgment.
